Leyla Reveals What It Was Like To Pose For The First Time
When I first walked into the apartment where the photoshoot was taking place, I wasn’t nervous, just curious. It was my first glamour session, and I didn’t really know how it would feel to pose in front of the camera. I had done simple portraits before, but nothing that felt this intimate. The photographer told me to relax, to breathe, and to let the light find me. That advice stayed in my head all day.
The session took place near a balcony in Ukraine, with the warm daylight coming through half-closed curtains. I wore a black see-through lingerie dress and heels, and for a moment, it felt like I was playing a role until I realised that it was still me, just more confident. The camera didn’t ask for perfection; it wanted emotion. I moved slowly, letting the shadows cover one side of my body while the light revealed the other. My heart was racing, but the moment I saw the first preview on the screen, I smiled - it was soft, elegant, and real.
This session, released on October 9 2020, became a small turning point for me. I understood that glamour isn’t about showing everything; it’s about feeling comfortable enough to show who you are. The mix of darkness and daylight created something personal, and I loved that the photos captured both my shyness and my confidence. Now, looking back, I know it was the perfect way to start.
